On a rainy day, when the sky is grey
And drops of water fall from above
I sit by the window, watching the world
As it drowns in nature's love
The pitter-patter of raindrops
On the roof and on the ground
Creates a soothing melody
That fills my heart with sound
The grass is lush and green
The flowers bloom with glee
As they drink in the rain
And dance in harmony
The air is cool and fresh
A fragrance fills the air
As rain cleanses the earth
And washes away all care
On a rainy day, I find peace
In the gentle touch of rain
It soothes my weary soul
And washes away my pain
So I'll embrace the rainy days
And welcome the stormy skies
For in the midst of darkness
A beauty always lies
